Hello! I actually started going to meetings in the middle of this quarter, but I really enjoy PPS! I will say that it seems like a small club and it doesn’t have the crazy vibe like large clubs at UCI, but it’s balanced with fun and information  At every meeting there’s usually guest speakers who work in various fields of pharmacy so it’s great to learn how versatile pharmacy actually is. Then there’s socials where you usually go out to eat and get to socialize with new people (communication is crucial for pharmacy school! :P). I definitely value the people in PPS a lot because they give me a whole ton of advice on pharmacy school, what activities I should pursue, and interview advice. To be honest, I’m surprised that there’s a ton of Pharm Sci majors (like me!) in the club and I’ll be taking upper div classes with them in the upcoming fall quarter. Overall I think the club is really what YOU make of it. For example, when the guest speakers come, you should definitely ask them questions and maybe get in touch with them as possible connections. Get to know the members and ask questions from the older people about applying to pharmacy schools. All those shenanigans. If you’re pursuing a career in pharmacy, you should definitely take advantage of any pre-pharm club that exists on campus. I haven’t done much for the club but hopefully I can be involved in more activities in my last 2 years at UCI. :)
